Well, I posted about my dog pics that I’ve been drawing. And I used spoonflower.com to print two of the dog portraits for my psychiatrist. These are his two dogs. Anyway, I made pillows! Yay! I think they are pretty cool! :) :) I hope he likes them!
I wanted to share the cupid fabric I made with you guys! It just came today and I love it! I went a little crazy with the cupids! haha. If you are interested in checking out these and other designs I’ve created, click on this link: http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/kristinbell
Here are some new pillows I’ve been working on. I’m going to be selling on consignment at In Other Words in Portland, Oregon. I’m pretty excited about it! The first one is Henry Miller Magic cat with red stripes. The second one is Judy the Utie(rus) with minis on the back. The third one is a pillow of Angelica Kauffman and Mary Moser having tea.
I had this cute fabric with pigs on it, and I was just itching to use it in some way, so I decided to make a pink piggy pillow. BTW, you can find this supercute pig fabric at Hawthorne Threads. Here is the link: http://www.hawthornethreads.com/fabric/designer/david_walker/get_together/pig_toss_in_pink. It looks much cuter in person and is super soft and comfy too! Anyway, I started out with the pig shape face and hand-stitched the pig. I added a little bit of fluff to the feet and ears and when I sewed the pig on the pillow I added a bit of fluff between the pillow and the pig face. I also put on the back pig butt and added some fluff in that too. And what piggy could be complete without a ribbon on his tail?!? I’m including some pics of the pig in process and the pics of the finished pillow. Click to enlarge. :)
Two of three of my panda fabrics arrived today from spoonflower! Yay! I think they look really cute! The third one (that might come tomorrow) has dots. I’ll post that when it arrives too! :) Yay for pandas! :)

Here is the second set of swatches that I got from Spoonflower.com. I liked the way the little girl (Celia) one turned out, except that it had a couple of holes in the black where I forgot to color in the image, so I’ve updated that and it should be fixed now. :) I think the playing kitty one is interesting, but I also uploaded another one to see what it would look like bigger. With this one it really becomes more about the pattern, which can be good for some projects! I think the little chicken turned out pretty cute too!!! :) Yay!
I got my first fabric swatches from Spoonflower.com today! It is so exciting to see my drawings translated into fabric! The colors are a bit different (as can be expected with printing issues), but overall, I think they are so cool! I’m going to really have to work on creating some fantastic fabric designs!!! :) hehe. I can’t wait to use my very own fabric in my projects!!! Thank you Spoonflower! And, by the way, here’s a plug for myself…if you want to buy any of my fabrics, you can get them on Spoonflower in my shop. Here is the link: http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/kristinbell. I think I get 10% of the purchase price or something, but if you do buy any fabric, I’d love to know and would love to see anything you make with the fabric! Okay, plug over! :)
I just found this place called SPOONFLOWER on the internet and haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds so cool! You can upload your photos or designs and have your very own fabric printed!!! OMG it seems so great! You can also sell the fabric you design on their website and get 10% of the sale! Pretty cool! And as far as I can tell you maintain all copyrights to your material too! I can’t wait to try it out. I’ll post an update when I do try it to let you all know how it goes. :) Oh yah, and they also have tons of supercute fabrics that you can buy that other people have designed! :)
