Pickles is the cat that inspired the creation of the company. What’s even better is that they are based in my own area—Portland, Oregon! Yay for Sweet Pickles!
I wanted to make these kitties for a friend who is a nature/environment lover. I hope it cheers him up a little when he gets it. :)
I just finished my blue frog kitty project for my friend who likes blue and frogs. I hope she likes this! :) I used the frog fabric on the back of both the big kitty and the baby kitty this time. :) Click any of the pics to enlarge. :)
I just posted this on my FB page, but I had to post here. I think this is so funny. This pic comes from my Differential Equations textbook. They were talking about modeling using differential equations, and in the process talked about cats falling from high rises, so they included this pic of a cat with a parachute! Math nerds rock! :) lol
This is my latest cat project. I’m working on two superhero cats for two different little boys. I’ve finished one of the big cats and two baby cats, but I still need to make
the capes for the baby cats. Update: I finished one baby cat cape! Adding pic now. :) I got the supercute superhero fabric from Hawthorne Threads. (Here is a link to the Superhero Fabric) They have some of the best fabric around in my opinion, but I am also glad that the Joann Fabrics near my house has a big selection of fleece! :) If you click the pics you can see an enlarged view. :)
I just finished the pink kitties and I finished the purple kitties a couple of days ago. These kitties are going to some very special friends. :)
Well, I’ve done it! I put one of my baby kitty projects up for sale on Etsy! Here is the link if any of you out there in internet land are interested.
It is hard to part with my kitties. hehe. I’m so silly! (That is if anyone even buys them!) Anyway, the Strawberries and Cream kitties are among my favorites that I’ve made so far!
I’ll post some pics of them here too. :)
My newest kitty comes to you in blue with white dots and orange and yellow accents with a chick in her tummy and a baby in her pocket. She is wearing a little bell (as is her baby) and she has blue and black eyes! :) She is very soft and lovable too! :) The chick fabric I made with spoonflower.com and the orange fabrics I got on HawthorneThreads.com. The blue and white fleece I got a Joann Fabrics.
I just made this striped pink kitty who has a window to his belly where you can see the birds he has eaten. I’m quite a terrible sewer, but I think it turned out okay anyway! :)
A few weeks ago, my baby Zoey kitten had to go to the vet, because she was really sick. It turned out to be something like the flu. She had to get subcutaneous water packs and stuff, and they had to do x-rays to rule stuff out. Well, they gave me the disc with her x-rays on it, so I have her x-ray pictures to post! Pretty interesting to see! She’s doing fine now and you can see her in the last pic helping me read my book! :) Click the images for a larger viewing! :) Oh! I just noticed! In the upper left of the second image you can see her microchip!!! lol Cool!
I just completed this little art project. I had an old frame with three panels hanging around and I wanted to do something with it, so I made this!
Just thought I’d share some pics of my cute baby kitten, Zoey! She is such a good kitty. :) She decided to get up on my desk and sit in the middle of some tissue wrapping paper today! :) I don’t think I’ve blogged much (or at all) about Zoey. I don’t know why. I love her to death! She came to be my fur baby last year after my black cat, Kiki, died. She is about 19 months old now and full of life! I adopted her when she was just 8 weeks old! Click the images to enlarge. ;)
I have some horrible news to report. If you don’t already know (I announced this on youtube and my facebook page) my beloved and super-amazing cat, Kiki, died a little over a week ago. :( Of course, I was devastated, and still am. He was a wonderful companion and friend. I couldn’t have wished for a better cat. A couple of months ago I rushed Kiki to the hospital, because he was very ill. He almost died then, but managed to survive somehow. We thought maybe he had swallowed some medicine or something, but then the other day he had the same symptoms. We now kind of doubt the medicine theory and believe that he may have had a stroke or some kind of neurological problem. I only wish that I had been there with him, so he didn’t have to die alone at the vet. I also never got to say goodbye or hold him one last time. We got him cremated and I now have a small box with his ashes inside. Not the way I wanted him to come home, but at least he is home now. If only you could have known Kiki, you would have loved him too. I will always miss him.
Well, I just opened up a cafepress store apparently. heh.
I wanted to share my Kiki images with the world! Actually, I was looking at Hello Kitty flip Continue Reading Kiki at CafePress: Yay or Nay?…
kiki decided to body slam me this morning after he walked all over me! haha
What can I say? I love to kuddle with my kitty Kiki. :)

Hi. I just thought I’d share this new photo I took of my cat, Kiki. Gah, I haven’t written on my blog for so long. I’m going to have to get to writing! Well, I hope you enjoy the photo. No animals were harmed in the shooting of this photograph! :)

Well, here’s something not a lot of people think about: cleaning your cat’s teeth! I didn’t know that we are actually supposed to clean our cats’ teeth, but I guess that is what the vet suggests. Now just how we are going to be able to do this is another story altogether! I still haven’t attempted it with my cats, but it is important, because plaque and tartar can build up which might lead to gum disease and your cat (or mine) could lose their teeth!
I got these two cute turtles today at the Starbucks near my house. I know, I shouldn’t support the evil empire, but I do anyway. Can I help it if Starbucks is taking over the world with their tasty concoctions? I mean, and don’t they give back and sell fair trade coffee and promote reading? Are we to hate them just because they are huge and EVERYWHERE? Maybe that is reason enough. I just don’t know. Continue Reading Turtle Cuteness…
